Our first stop traveling around the world is to the pyramids of Egypt where the story of the love of a boy and a girl from opposing tribes was first told in Verdi's famous opera that made Laurel's own Leontyne Price famous when she played the Princess Aida. She recently wrote a children's book of the story and Sir Elton John used that book as the basis of his pop musical that features his hit song "Written In The Stars" that became a chart topper for Leanne Rimes.
His fun score mixes all kinds of music from pop, reggae and gospel with influences from Motown to Middle Eastern. Rumors have long swirled about a proposed movie version with Beyonce and Christina Aguilera playing the lead roles. LLT has secured the rights to open our season with the hit show this summer.
Join us for exciting music with knock out voices, lots of humor and a tear-jerker of an ending!
Performances August 1-2-3 at 7:30PM and August 4 at 2PM
After a great run at LLT this spring, we travel once again to the North Carolina beaches as we bring back this deliciously funny southern comedy. All of our original cast returns for this special fundraiser for our new Pinehurst Room.
Imagine the sassy gals of Steel Magnolias, Designing Women and Golden Girls all wrapped up in one hilarious comedy and you'd have THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB! Five Southern ladies that were on their college swim team have remained life-long friends and meet every summer at a North Carolina beach cottage to get free from husbands, kids and jobs. You'll see them age through their 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s as they dish about their loves, meddle in each others lives and laugh 'til they cry.
THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB is a deliciously funny gut-busting Southern-fried comedy. You'll laugh out loud and roar with laughter until your face hurts! Sit a spell and let the humor wash over you like an ice-cold Dr. Pepper on a hot summer day!
Our million dollar Pinehurst Room Fundraiser Drive is approaching the 20% mark and we'll continue to raise funds so we can hopefully kick off the construction in the next year! Consider a donation and have your name on the engraved tiles on the Wall of Honor in the new room. For more information, click here for our sketches, plans and donor forms.

Join in as Professor Ven Helsing and his comrades hunt down and destroy the cunningly evil Count Dracula.
Steel your nerves, break out the garlic, don your fangs and get ready to scream!

After Transylvania, we head back to the 1950's south in Atlanta. We first presented this now-classic play back in 1991 with Brenda Shows Parker and Michael Marks in the two lead roles, and both of them will be back as we revisit Miss Daisy and her chauffeur Hoke. DRIVING MISS DAISY is a warm-hearted and humorous story of the unlikely relationship between an aging, crotchety white Southern lady and a proud, soft-spoken black man.
This will be a lovely and sentimental Valentine's Week production that will make you both laugh and cry!
Performances February 13-14-15 at 7:30PM and February 16 at 2PM

We wrap up our regular season traveling to a 1970's corporate office in the fun Dolly Parton musical 9 TO 5. Its first appearance was the hit 1980 movie that Dolly wrote the theme song for and starred in. Just a couple years ago, she penned an entirely new country-flavored pop score for a hilarious Broadway production that is just now starting to appear at community theatres around the country. For a fun twist, Dolly herself appears in the production to narrate the story.
Join Violet, Doralee and Judy as they deal with their male chauvinist boss and put him in his place - literally!

Our annual Kids' Camp will take us to a kingdom far, far away. A brand new production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA is running on Broadway right now, and our local kids will also get the chance to work on this show in a ten day summer workshop. It's the story that's so well known from the TV versions that starred Julie Andrews in the 1950s, Lesley Anne Warren in the 1960's and Mississippi born singer Brandy along with Whoopi Goldberg and Whitney Houston in the 1990's version.
Our annual Summer Kids' Camp is an intensive one week workshop where students have a memorable time learning the audition and rehearsal process and then will end the week with performances of CINDERELLA. Pre-registration is required early next spring since our camp sells out in advance and auditions for leads will take place in late April. Make sure you're on our email newsletter list to get early notice when registration opens!
Performances June 6 at 7:30PM, June 7 at 4PM & 7:30PM and June 8 at 2PM
