THE ADDAMS FAMILY

A Musical Comedy!

October 16-20, 2014

Directors - Wess Hughes &
Frankie Bennett

LLT will kick off our 54th season with the recent Broadway hit THE ADDAMS FAMILY! It's sure to be a fun event when Morticia & Gomez, their children Wednesday & Pugsley, and Uncle Fester, Lurch and "Thing" all make an appearance on the Arabian stage this October - just in time to kick off the Halloween season!

The Addams are a ghoulishly gleeful group with a tantalizing taste for all things magnificently macabre. Every family has some skeletons in the closet, the Addams just happen to keep their pet monster in there too!

With a huge cast of 50 - featuring Rick and Frankie Bennett as Gomez & Morticia - and some spectacular sets and costumes, this is sure to be a highlight of our season.
Come and meet the weird and wacky and kooky Addams brood - they'll leave the lights off for you!

LITTLE WOMEN

The New Musical

December 4-7, 2014

Directed by Lacy Cockrell

Louisa May Alcott's classic 1869 novel, LITTLE WOMEN, finally came to life on stage as a delightful new Broadway musical just a couple of years ago.

Follow the adventures of the four March family sisters - Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy - as their mother, Marmee, tries to keep the home and her daughters in good running order while their father is off serving as a Union Army chaplain in the Civil War.

The beautiful musical score of this play is a perfect touch to this age-old story - and what a great way to kick off the Christmas season.
Six generations have read the story. This generation will sing it!

THE GLASS MENAGERIE

A Southern Memory Play

FEBRUARY 26 - MARCH 1, 2015

Directed by Sam Buchanan

THE GLASS MENAGERIE by Mississippi native Tennessee Williams, is a drama set in the deep South of the early 1900's. It was his first big successful play and he went on to become one of America's most highly regarded playwrights.

The characters and story mimic William's own family more closely than any of his other works. It's an account of a time in the author's young life when he was growing up and yearning to leave the family home and go off to become a writer. His mother, a fading Southern belle well past her prime, is obsessed with finding a suitor - a "gentleman caller" - for his shy and quiet sister.

A Broadway production of the show earlier this year received a Tony Award nomination for Best Revival of a Play' and it was selected as the 'Best Of The Year' by the New York Times, New York Magazine and USA Today.
A moving and memorable play full of longing and dreams - Voila - it's magic!

RED WHITE & TUNA

A Redneck Comedy!

APRIL 23 - 26, 2015

Directed by Catherine Nowicki

RED WHITE & TUNA is a side-splitting comedic tour-de-force for just two actors that play a total of 22 characters with the quickest costume changes you'll ever see on our Arabian Theatre stage. It's one of four different plays all set in the redneck town of Tuna, Texas - the "third-smallest" town in the state - where "the Lion's Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies!"

We presented A TUNA CHRISTMAS just a few years ago with Steven Nowicki and Wess Hughes speed acting thru all those characters, and these two LLT alumni return this coming season for us to see just what's up in Tuna as they all get ready for the annual 4th of July celebrations.
Don't miss it! 2 ACTORS - 22 CHARACTERS - 222 BELLY LAUGHS!

ANNUAL LLT SUMMER KIDS' CAMP

ALADDIN JR.

JUNE 5 - 7, 2015

Directed by Katelyn Bryant

Even though our Kids' Camp Production is not a part of the regular season membership, it's always a crowd pleaser! In ALADDIN JR., our wonderful young actors will welcome you to Agrabah, City of Enchantment. Jasmine, the Sultan, the Genie and all the rest of the cast of a hundred (YES...ONE HUNDRED KIDS!) will welcome you with all those favorite songs like "Arabian Nights", "A Whole New World" and "Friend Like Me."

Our annual Summer Kids' Camp is an intensive one week workshop where students have a memorable time learning the audition and rehearsal process and then will end the week with performances of ALADDIN JR.

Pre-registration is required early next spring since our camp sells out in advance - and auditions for the lead roles will be held in early May. Make sure you're on our email newsletter list to get an early notice when registration opens! Drop a line to LLTLaurelMS@aol.com to be added to that list.
Come and see how much these adorable kids can amaze you with what they'll do with just a week of rehearsals!

Our Kids' Camp is not part of our regular 4-punch season ticket.
